The Kanuti stop takes its name from Kanuti aed, a small park between the Old Town wall and Mere puiestee. The park is named after the medieval Canute (Kanuti) Guild and is today one of the city centre’s quietest green spaces.
The stop is served by lines T1, T5 and T6, which run from Suur Rannavärav into the city centre via Mere puiestee. Line T2 does not stop here — it goes via Vanasadam.
The Old Town’s Viru värav (Viru Gate) is about a five-minute walk away, and the Rotermanni kvartal is closer still.
