Tram line T1: Kopli – Kadriorg

Line T1 links the tip of the Kopli peninsula with Kadriorg park, passing on the way through Tallinn’s two most important hubs: Balti jaam and Hobujaama. It is the route that most closely follows the original line of Tallinn’s tram network — the line to Kopli has been around almost as long as the electric tram itself.

End to end the journey takes about 30 minutes and on weekdays the tram departs every 9–10 minutes. On the Kopli branch, where T1 shares the track with three other lines, a tram actually comes every couple of minutes.

T1 is also the most convenient way to reach Kadriorg: the stop is right at the gates of the park, and it is a ten-minute walk from there to the KUMU art museum.

From 1 August 2026: tram line numbers gain a T prefix (1 → T1, 2 → T2, and so on) and the tram runs to the airport again. The old numbers may linger for a while on stops and older maps — the routes themselves stay the same, except for the southern end of T2 and T4.
