Tram line T6: Kopli – Hobujaama – Suur-Paala

Line T6 is the newest route on Tallinn’s tram network. It is being created in August 2026 to keep the Suur-Paala connection after lines T2 and T4 were rerouted to the airport.

T6 runs from Kopli via Suur Rannavärav, Kanuti, Mere puiestee and Hobujaama into the Lasnamäe corridor, ending at Suur-Paala. In all it is 26 stops and about 40 minutes. It is the first direct link between Kopli and Lasnamäe — previously you had to change in the city centre.

The line starts at the end of August, once the roadworks on Peterburi tee are finished. Until then, replacement buses run towards Suur-Paala.

From 1 August 2026: tram line numbers gain a T prefix (1 → T1, 2 → T2, and so on) and the tram runs to the airport again. The old numbers may linger for a while on stops and older maps — the routes themselves stay the same, except for the southern end of T2 and T4.
