Tram line T2 — Kopli – Vanasadam – Lennujaam
The only line through Vanasadam — and, from 1 August 2026, straight to the airport.
Tram line T2: Kopli – Vanasadam – Lennujaam
Line T2 is the newest route on Tallinn’s tram network and the only one that runs through Vanasadam. The Vanasadam tramway opened at the end of 2024, and it was the first time Tallinn’s passenger port could be reached by rail transport.
From 1 August 2026, T2 continues from Majaka põik on to Ülemiste station and the airport. That means you can now go from ferry to plane — from the Helsinki boat to Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport — on a single tram, without a single change. The journey from Vanasadam to the airport takes about 25 minutes.
The whole route from Kopli to the airport is 27 stops and about 45 minutes. On weekdays the tram departs every 9–10 minutes.

What to know about this line
Two different ways through the city centre
From Suur Rannavärav, T2 runs via Linnahall and Vanasadam, while the other Kopli lines go via Kanuti and Mere puiestee. If the port is your destination, you need to board T2 specifically.
Luggage and suitcases
There is no separate luggage compartment on the tram, but the low-floor CAF Urbos and Pesa Twist cars are spacious and easy to board with a suitcase.

Board line T2 by the Vanasadam terminals and ride to the end. The journey takes about 25 minutes and the ticket costs the price of a standard hourly ticket.
On weekdays every 9–10 minutes, in the evening every 12 minutes.
Before 1 August 2026, line 2 ran from Kopli via Vanasadam to Suur-Paala. The Suur-Paala connection is now maintained by the new line T6.
